How the fall detection works
This is the myActive Alert pendant, and it is what does the fall detection. It is a different button from the round ones in the product photos above, and it is worn on a cord around the neck. You can press it like any other help button, and it will also call for help on its own if it detects a fall.
No fall sensor detects every fall. A slow slide to the floor often does not register, so press the button whenever you can. That is the manufacturer’s guidance as well as ours.
